Wow what a great week:) No storm…. Just lots and lots and lots of rain.
Tonight we had our 4th Merizo devotional! Under the canopy, ocean behind us, we with sweetest people on earth!
Saturday,
15 yr old Connie was baptized. She asked me to speak on the Gift of the
Holy Ghost, I reflected back on my own baptism as I was just a year
older than her. What a blessing the gospel of Christ is in my life. How
grateful I found it so early on in life.
Our elders are back on
their bikes again as the car they were using needed to go somewhere else
in the mission, so we take them to a village, drop them for the day
then pick them up at night to get them home. Our new elder, Elder John
is right from the MTC and a member of 2 years, from Chuuk, and speaks
very little English. This is his first time to ever ride a bike! The
other day we were at Brother Henry’s house, he made some hotdogs for
lunch and was insisting Elder John eat more than one. Elder John said
no I’m full, so in his thick Chamorro accent Henry said “my elder, when
you are paddling that thing in your stomach is going to forget”
translation: “when you are peddling on your bike because you only ate
one hotdog you’re going to get hungry. He he
We have to wait
until next weekend for the rebroadcast of conference but we did listen a
bit today and heard the revelation that girls can now go on a mission
at 19 and the boys at 18. How exciting!! We thought of Jake, Sam and
Jarod, being the oldest grandsons and the preparing they will make to be
spiritually ready to go and serve the Lord a whole year earlier now!
We are so grateful for married sons and their wives who are raising
children up in righteous homes, teaching them to love the Lord and live
happy Christ-centered lives. Think of the impact all these boys will
make in building the kingdom! Jake ,Sam , Jarod, Nathan, Brandon, Isaac,
Jonathan, Matthew, Carter, Joshie, Logan, Gavin , Ren, William and
another baby boy coming to Scott and Emily! We know Gabriel is a
missionary already on the other side of the veil, and now maybe the
grandgirls will serve missions! I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in
store for each of them! This mama/meme/missionary loves her family SO
much:)
May each of you know how dearly you are loved!

Let us forgive.
Let us talk peacefully with each other.
Let the love of God fill our hearts.
Let us do good unto all men"
